When a client pays late, Swiss law provides for default interest: from the moment of default (an overdue due date with a reminder, or an agreed term), interest of 5% per year accrues on the amount owed (CO art. 104), unless the contract sets a higher rate. intero computes the days overdue, the interest due and the total to claim — handy for a freelancer's or SME's reminder. Calculated on a 360-day basis.
